Farmer’s Mental Health
You don’t have to carry it alone.
As a third-generation chicken farmer and a counsellor, I know that farming isn't just what you do—it's who you are. I understand the long days, the hard decisions, the uncertainty, and the pressure that can come with caring for your farm, your family, and your future.
Life on the farm can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel isolating. Sometimes it's hard to find someone who truly understands the unique challenges of rural life.
That's why I'm here.
Whether you're struggling with relationship challenges, stress, anxiety, grief, burnout, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I offer a safe, confidential space where you can talk openly without judgment.
I hope to walk alongside you, helping you find practical ways to cope, build resilience, and reconnect with what matters most. You don't have to face life's challenges on your own.
Together, we can work towards better mental health, stronger relationships, and a healthier, more balanced life - let’s start the conversation.
I grew up on a family farm, and bring both personal understanding and professional expertise to these conversations.
How I Can Help:
Be that listening ear from someone who has real-life experience.
Confidential, compassionate support.
Help to strengthen resilience to create a healthier, more balanced life.
Support your well-being and relationships.
Online or in-person counselling options provide flexibility and comfort.
Online therapy is a great option that offers convenience, affordability, and flexibility. Online therapy sessions have proven to be effective, leading to positive outcomes for those in the counselling sessions. Still, some conversations are best in-person. Wendy will discuss the best options for your situation during your initial consult.
